When I first met Kim and Jared they had traveled to Orlando and wanted to capture their engagement at the happiest place on earth, DISNEY. We set a date and time to meet and we were SO excited. And then like Florida often does….it rained. So we rescheduled. And then it rained, again. This continued to ruin our plans and I knew they were limited because they were not local. Kim and Jared were such good sports, we scratched plans and opted for a rainy beach shoot instead.

We quickly became friends and I knew I had to be at their wedding in NY. Along with my amazing second shoot Mary Fosky Photographer, dear friend Shannon and little boy Dawson, we made the summer trip to NY, Albany that is. Upon landing and arriving for the wedding we were warmly welcomed by Kim and her family. I think my destination brides just hold an extra special place in my heart. When they could choose someone local, they still chose to fly me out and take that chance. I am forever grateful of that trust and value of my work.

Kim and Jared had a beautiful wedding, but of course I brought the Florida rain. A few minutes before their ceremony was supposed to begin the rain came. They acted quickly and moved the ceremony inside to the National Museum of Dance lobby and it was truly breathtaking!
